I am a HUGE Hugh Jackman fan and it’s not just because he played Wolverine for so many years. I love a good romantic comedy and the first time I watched this, I knew it wouldn’t be the last! The love story is beautiful, but all in all, it’s such a beautiful and emotional story. “Australia” is definitely worth the watch, I promise you. Love it!

A fantastic film. Shades of old school westerns and romantic epics on full display. The film is certainly slow in certain places, and the action does take a little while to get started. But when it does, it’s pure magic. An emotional, exciting ride. Highly recommended.

There are some classics that were regarded as not being successful in their original run. This may be one of those. In 2008 as the Great Recession settled in for the long haul, and my job and money disappeared, I went to the movies to take my mind off things. I saw Australia. Which I just rewatched 9 years later. It's grand casting, sweeping vistas, and captivating story don't disappoint. A distraction most welcomed.

iTunes would not finish downloading this movie. All attempts to follow links to contact and report a problem were a wild goose chase. I was never given the ability to report the problem. I will not buy movies from iTunes if this is their service!

I don’t know why it’s taken me so many years to watch this. It was a breathtakingly epic film. Kidman and Jackman SIZZLE. I almost stopped watching in the beginning but it became a true gem so don’t give up after the somewhat camp and theatrical start, it gets really good. A beautiful Australian story, I hadn’t hear about the military history of Darwin.

At the beginning Nicole Kidman is playing satire over the top. Then towards the middle of the movie she tries to change to balance Hugh Jackmon’s actual sincere acting. So this movie is weird. It is therefore disjointed but still enjoyable, if you have patience with its shortcomings. Without giving anything away, it’s fun despite the cliches and the stories we’ve seen before. One isn’t quite clear about what the director is doing and trying to achieve.

I hate to say it, but NK face is so disstracting how can anyone take her serious. She's like the new michael Jackson or something. Overacted in everyway..Huge Jackman was great for what the script called for. But way to cartoonish.....
