This is a Jet Li classic; if you are a fan of martial arts in a modern 90s and early 2000s action movies--and I mean the well made ones--then you will love this!

Great movie and soundtrack to match. So why is it that iTunes does not offer the soundtrack or any of the songs from the movie at all? What's up with that???

Amazing Fights and Jet Li and Cyril Raffaelli moved so fast they said they had to slow down because the camera could not capture it all. I also know how to use chopsticks as a weapon.

For a change Jet isn't paired up with a rapper or R&B star. It's Jet center stage as a Chinese special agent out to nail a conspiracy of crooked cops dealing drugs and running a prostitution ring on the streets of Paris. Cut off from help, framed for murder he is trying to not only keep himself alive but a prostitute he befriends and an elderly safe house guardian who is the only person he trusts. The action is top notch including a thrilling opening sequence involving guns, grenades, hand to hand and a very lethal billiard ball; an amazing stick fight battle between Jet and a gymnasium full of martial art students reminiscent of Bruce Lee's "Chinese Connection" aka "Fists of Fury"; and Jet vs a pair of highly trained killers to name just a few of the expertly choreographed set pieces. If there is one gripe is that once again Hollywood is uncomfortable with an Asian leading man becoming romantically involved with a white love interest. The moments between him and Bridget Fonda are platonic where in most other movies with a non-Asian actor they would have at least been flirtatious. It's a minor complaint of the movie itself but really a larger issue with the industry as a whole. It doesn't ruin the movie, but it's hard not to notice. It's a typically gorgeous looking, slick and stylish production you'd expect from writer/producer Luc Besson (the filmmaker behind The Fifth Element, The Professional and the landmark thriller La Femme Nikita), but still manages plenty of grit and grime in the sequences featuring the sleazy French back alleys. Highly recommended to fans of martial arts, crime thrillers and action fans who enjoy solid acting and top notch production values.

This is a really good movie. If itunes wants to make more money by having people actually watch the movies they have available... they need to do away with the rotten tomatoes critics because they most often dont know what they are thinking, but who doesn't know this? This was a fun and exciting movie. However, hopefully you will realize after watching it that there is more to it than a bunch of action. I found there to be an actual element of depth to it. When there is an emotional element to a movie.... even an action movie that was meant to be purely fun to watch, it makes the movie so much better to enjoy.

Title says it all. If you like a martial arts movie that has Li Lianjie (A.K.A. Jet Li) in it, flawless acting and a genius storyline, this movie is for you!

I would rank this movie in my top 15 favorite kungfu movies list. The movie starts with Jet Li who is a chinese agent who is sent to France to bust up a drug smuggling nightmare, when he arives on seen the French police try and frame him with a murder of a drug Lord and a prostatute. Jet hooks up with a different prostitute (like teams up not "hooks up") who is tryn to exscape the evil clutches of the Head chief of French police (by the end of the movie u hate this guy so much you wanna beat him down yourself) and get her daughter back who is bein held captive. The movie is full of great acting, fighting, and music with a great story line as well. Buy it you will not be disapointed.
