  • Attractive to parents, but my kid thought it was boring

I have to admit I got this because it seemed like a more artsy and classy kid entertainment video, looked good to me. My kid thought it boring (5 yr old boy) and wouldn't watch more than I few minutes. Moves pretty slow, costumes pretty subtle, not so interesting. Anyway, wish I had skipped it because now I'm out a few bucks.

This is not a "silent movie" this is a ballet, performed by one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world during one of the seminal periods for dance in the 20th Century. Originally staged in 1971, choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton composed and scored by John Lanchbery and danced by members of the Royal Ballet, this performance has thrilled children and adults for decades. Especially good for children interested in dance.

This is a silent movie with only classical music in the background throughout. Most suitable for very young children. My 5 year old was bored.
