This satire on the advertising world and Hollywood is a very funny movie. Maybe I'm being generous with the 5-star rating, but htis was better than I thought it would be. Jayne Mansfield plays a blonde bombshell who is not as ditzy as she pretends to be. Tony Randall is Rockwell Hunter alias Loverdoll, whom Jayne uses to make her last boyfriend Bobo jealous. One fun character is Rufus, played by Henry Jones. This man is a true character actor, from the cruel coroner in “Vertigo” to the lecherous idiot LeRoy in “The Bad Seed.” Joan Blondell plays Jayne’s companion and she is never short of caustic humorous wit. My only bone of contention was that we did not get to see much of Mickey Hargitay on screen. The price is right for this one. I wish “The Girl Can’t Help It” were also available.
