Description

Academy Award winner Susan Hayward stars as stage and screen icon Lillian Roth in this heart-wrenching story of a woman idolized and envied by millions who privately suffers loss and alcoholism--who must smile for the cameras as inwardly she tells herself I'll Cry Tomorrow. Pushed on stage by her driven mother (Jo Van Fleet), Lillian Roth (Hayward) becomes a child star and grows into a movie headliner, constantly working, constantly on camera. Then, when the man whom Roth has loved since childhood dies just before their wedding, Roth takes her first drink of alcohol. Grief, overwork and insecurity drive the beautiful young star into a 15-year-long nightmare downward spiral of alcoholism and abusive marriages in this riveting true drama.

This is my favorite Susan Hayward movie of all time. She's incredible as Lillian Roth. She should have won the Oscar for Best Actress. I Want to LIve is great also, which she did win the Oscar for. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
