Walter Matthau plays straight man to Robin Williams' off-the-wall character in this buddy film that pairs two disparate men who happen to be having the worst day of their lives in tandem...their meeting one another becomes a pivitol moment -making a bad day worse. That moment seals their friendship but starts Williams off in search of his manliness at a 'toughguy' wilderness training camp. There is some fresh way of balancing the unrealistic with the very plausble in this film that makes it relatable and all that much funnier to watch. Outstanding one liners, some you might have to rewatch to catch. Easy story line. A well worth the rent or purchase-fun movie you probably missed because of the time it was released. Fans of either actor's comedic chops will appreciate this early 80s film.
