Description

The most ferocious boxer to ever step inside the ring, MIKE TYSON was at age 20 the youngest heavyweight champion in history. But within a few short years, the baddest man on the planet was himself on the ropes, the victim of his own rage and fear. Told exclusively through the compelling words and commentary of Iron Mike himself, Tyson is a powerfully frank and provocative look at one of the most controversial and misunderstood sports figures of all time.

I think the director made a bad move having the entire perspective on Mike's life be from only him. Mike was one of my childhood hero's but this documentary is depressing not just because of his fall but because he still seems to be trying to convince us all of his mistakes were just because he was young when he did them. I only wish he'd met Cus, his first trainer, when Cus was younger and they'd been together longer. Mike took a tragic fall and this film will only make you feel more depressed about it, not much to learn from it etc.

Great insight to who Tyson really is. He had been portrayed as a big dumb boxer and profiled cause of his speech impairment and prison time and drugs and ect. Even I admit to doing and thinking so. This documentary will change who you think Tyson really is and that he is quite intelligent and has a big heart. Someone who had a very troubled youth yet became a Champion. Not to mention Don King is trash and this film only proves what American has known for 20 years plus. Lastly Thank You Mike Tyson for your great achievements as the greatest most accomplished boxer of all time. later later thehawkmann74

I watched this documentary on SpikeTV on cable and I have to tell you, Mike Tyson was candid, raw and uncut! He's a fascinating orator of his kind and brought a new spin on often seemingly boring documentaries I always watch. If you are a boxing fan in general, you will not be bored with TYSON.

“I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.” Wally Lamb Addiction is a sickness. I'm curious as to what part you found "half-appealing"? Just another opinion that you'll show to your other self loathing buddies that are probably "half appealing, Half pathetic."

After being let down, from seeing such a marvel. I finally was able to get a deeper view of a legend. And I most say there is no better Doc than Tysons (That year). From the unblocked truth to the reality, of what it means to be a MAN, an overcome. I don't see why the (richard heads) on this theard, down the man. When me my self is a boxer, and can tell you first hand. Many will never get to reach his height in the sport, unless they have the heart. An than fall and get back up. As a matter of fact, take a punch from a trained light weight. An than see if your mind set will be the same!

Hands down the best sports documentary I've ever seen period! Five stars doesn't do this film justice. Every time it comes on I can't change the channel even though I've seen it several times.
