Amelia

Some will hate this comment, but this film doesn't do a good job of showing Earhart's lack of brains and her mediocre skills (punctuated by lousy navigation, bad landings and avoidable crashes). Her decision to remove the trailing antenna before the Howland leg was stupifying and it resulted in her death. It is frustrating. She did a lot for feminism but as an aviator she was an accident waiting to happen. It's too bad Pancho Barnes did not have Earhart's connections or midwest demeanor, and was not a looker, or she would have been recognized as the greatest aviatrix of her generation (and she would have continued to break new boundaries through the 1960's.)

OMG this movie was dull. I guess it didn't help that we knew the ending going in, but this movie was so dull and plodding, all four of us were dozing off. I actually like Swank and Gere, but there was zero on screen chemistry between the two.

To iTunes: When are you going to put up the Amelia OST by Gabriel Yared? It is an amazing score! It deserves to be sold on iTunes.

Me abd my my mom both loved this movie... I loved the story line and how well the movie flowed! Great family movie! Very little minor language...

slow moving

A delightful mix of romance, ambition, storyline, humor, and drama, with an excellent cast too. It seems to pack a little too much in, but it’s still a good movie. The ending, though, drags on forever. I am stunned to see the resemblence between Hilary Swank and Amelia Earhart. I had some trouble telling the two apart.

Ewan McGregor looked GREAT!!! In this movie. That's about it.

I agree with everyone that the character development was awful. The acting was good but they just left you guessing on some things involving the characters! It was a decent watch!

..it gets going. Soon you realize the passion this woman had for her adventurous life. And in observing the freedom she acquired from her passion, it teaches each of us to continue our own search for our own passions....for such a path leads to true liberty and freedom.
