And yes, even though Beauty and the Beast was the first animated film to be nominated for best picture, I still do not like this very much. I do not understand why so many people think this movie is so great? Here’s what I have to say about the movie! Storyline, It’s about a pretty woman named, Belle who comes across a castle where her father, Maurice is being held hostage by a huge ugly Beast, a prince is disguise after being selfish and unkind to an old woman for punishment. If the Beast can learn to love a woman, and if beauty loves him in return, the spell will break from a single rose and the Beast gets turned back into a prince. If not, the prince remains a beast forever. Do I like this storyline? Nice, but not great. For the songs, I think this movie has way to many, and many of them are forgettable. And Gaston singing almost always annoys me. Gaston and Belle songs are my least favorite Disney tunes along with Topsy Turvy and Hellfire from The Hunchback Of Norte Dame. Why do Disney movies need so many songs to begin with? The Beast was only a likable when he was kind, not when he was yelling and roaring in the beginning. Gaston, and his sidekick Lefou are great tricky cool looking villains, except when they sing, and also when Gaston fights the Beast near the end of the film and dies. Lumiere and Cogsworth are great comic reliefs, I almost always get a smile wherever they are on screen. This movie is a bad Disney movie for a nominated for best picture film, definitely not in the same league with The Brave Little Toaster, Aladdin, The Lion King, or even Tarzan.

Beauty and the Beast is for babies. I adore The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid is for kids from ages 4 to 10.

Beauty and the beast is my FAVORITE Disney princess movie and I was so excited just to find out y’all took my favorite song (“human again”) out like Wtfn? 😒😒😒. I want my money back I’m not even kidding!
