The blockbuster superhero film series continues as Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman, and Margot Kidder return in the story of Superman's (Reeve) battle against the evil creation of criminal genius Lex Luthor (Hackman). After declaring that he intends to rid the world of all nuclear weapons, Superman must defeat Luthor's Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow), who fights him in landmarks around the world before taking their battle into outer space. Meanwhile, when Lois Lane (Kidder) invites both Superman and Clark Kent to a double-date dinner, Superman's powers are tested so that both men can be present. Mariel Hemingway also stars.

  • Better than I thought it would be.

To the iTunes publisher: The English subtitles were missing for a couple small scenes; the opening where they speak Russian, and the ending with the volcano where they briefly speak Italian. As for my review: I heard this was one of the worst films ever made, but I enjoyed it more than Superman 3. The green screen effects were really bad, and some of the audio mixing was clearly rushed in production, but I enjoyed everything with Clark and Lois. It was a lot of campy fun, and felt much more like a Superman movie than the third film. Christopher Reeve is a gem.

Poorest quality I’ve ever seen. Superman is a babbling dork, the villain is created in the most illogical way ever, and the movie is just lazily made. Not to mention the “fights”. What kind of choreography is THAT?
  • My thoughts of this sadly box office summer film from 1987-present

I seen predictable predictions in this film from 1987 some people said it failed at the box office and 20 years later (1986-2006) predictions were prophylactic and probably mentioned in the end of the movie and Brandon Routh is the late Christopher reeve (dead at 52,2004) doppelgänger and it's relevant related that Richard Pryor (dead at 65,2005) is the doppelgänger of Steve Harvey (family feud and other shows and movies) true that I have proof these popular doppelgängers are going to be around for years to come hopefully thanks peace and God blessings to you all.
