It’s a classic. Jeeze - Slim Pickens. No sour grapes for me on the cut. Great movie.

This is still quite a good cinematic achievement, who knew a young Bob Dylan would be portrayed as himself a wordsmith named of all things Alias, it’s quite a good self portrayal of him, and Coburn and Kristofferson play so well off each other, a movie for the ages!

I agree 2000% with Cutnshoot in that to put this version of the movie on iTunes is worthless to movie buffs like myself, making the Directors Cut unavailable, is stupid and an insult to one of the greatest directors in the history of cinema. What is in the mindset of iTunes to offer a substandard version at a premium price, and discontinue a 5-star Classic!!!!! Whoever did that(?)....fire them!

This is NOT the directors cut of this film. You could get that version on iTunes until very recently. This is a version cut by Paul Seydor in 2005, over 20 years after Peckinpah’s death. The heart and soul of that masterwork has been cut out. This is a true travesty. The director had no say in this version at all and would kill this guy for doing this……..this was a five star film.

This is it folks. The grand-daddy of all modern Westerns. Want to see what "Young Guns" could look like all grown up? Relax, sit back, and give this one a chance to sneak up on you with its quirks, poetry, and elemental dialogue.
