I usually like the movies iTunes pick for the “movie of the week”, but this was not the case. Really isn’t a good “independent-smart-cult-romantic-comedy” as it tries to be..

This was interesting. Good, not excellent. I enjoyed it but I also was feeling like it dragged. It's about finding "you." And not letting go of who you are, even when things get bad. The usual rom-com life lessons.

Than so many other movies that I have tried to watch. Refreshing.

I love quiet slow moving movies when they have rich details and twists but this one was kind of forced and a bit preposterous. The kid who plays the male lead is a bit too childish to be believable as the saving love interest of this woman, to the extent that he impacts her life. He doesn't seem to really have the chops. Female lead is perfect as a silly Charlie Sheen groupie on 9.5 Men but doesn't bring that interesting a persona to this piece. Not memorable.
  • Great film but more drama than comedy!

Melanie Lynskey displays a wonderful range with endless subtleties in this role. While there are some funny and cringeworthy scenes, this is less of a laugh-out-loud comedy and more of an emotional journey / self-discovery film. Great supporting acting by Christopher Abbott and Blythe Danner who are both wonderful in their scenes with Melanie Lynskey.

A well made indie movie, with the more original type story telling that you don't usually find in movies that have too much studio input. A deeper, more interesting story than you can tell from the trailer, and a great hour and a half experience. Top notch production quality too, which I always appreciate. Definitely recommend.
  • Really good move

Acting stumbled a little out of the gate, but halfway in it was really great. Had to get the sound track because I couldn't stop thinking of the move.
  • Great rent for $.99

I rented this when it was the '$.99 Movie of the Week' and felt it was worth it. A story about how life & love & how both don't always follow the typical rules. Subtle comedy
