Description

An extraordinary journey to the top of the world, To the Arctic 3D is the ultimate tale of survival. Narrated by Oscar® winner Meryl Streep, the film takes audiences on a never-before-experienced journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her two seven-month-old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating, adventurous, and intimate footage brings moviegoers up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snowbound peaks.

  • great images, lousy soundtrack

If you watch this movie, turn the sound all the way down, and play some good orchestral music. Then you will like the visuals, at least. The music in the movie was horrible. Sounded like Paul McCartney was trying to come up with a song, but couldn't, and someone mistakenly used that tape in the movie. It was horrible. The narration was written for 1st graders. Conclusions were presented without evidence.

My son likes this movie and more so, he absolutely loves the music. He has Autism, and most music is agitating to him. However, there is a specific part in this movie that he keeps going back to and listening. He is begging me for the music and says that it calms his anxiety. I have researched and found out that Steve Wood and Paul McCartney did the music, but can NOT find a soundtrack for it. I really need this music. Help me please!

Anyone who thinks this movie stinks. You're wrong. These people did so much work to show people how hard it is to live in the Artic. They didn't make this film for nothing. I loved it. And I was absolutely mystified by the filmwork. The music was beautiful, and it really gave this film a voice. The world is melting. And people out there don't see that. Meryl Streep practically voiced those animals out there. If anyone is interested in speaking for them. This film sets a good example. And i for one want to help animals with ever chance I get. Polar bears struggle to survive every day. And the scenery took my breath away. Think about this film as a portal to see through the eyes of an animal that struggles to survive every day, mostly with little success. You want to see beauty? WEll, look to the world. Places such as the Artic probably will never be seen again. So maybe this film will let you see everything the way an animal sees it.
  • Short and depressing

This movie makes a lot of extreme environmental claims without any substance to back them up.

One of the best IMAX movies I've ever seen! It's the most stunning cinematic movies ive seen in a long time. Stunning shots, narrated by Meryl Streep and the soundtrack by Sir Paul McCartney isn't to bad to list to either :) the people behind this amazing movie are trying to help save the arctic and who live up the one world one ocean. Amazing work on both.
