Yep. I can confirm the HD version of this film was removed by Warner Brothers from iTunes. Apple is required to do this since the production house owns the rights to the film. This means our paid-for version of the film disappears with no refund and this 4k version is now the only version. So if you want the movie you have to buy it twice. Not OK. Also most other production houses upgrade users to the 4k version for free. That is the right thing to do. I have 700 movies in my library and will be boycotting Warner Brothers going forward. I suggest you do the same too unless you are OK with “buying” a movie that you could potentially disappear without any notice whatsoever.

The movie is great. Period. Apple has nothing to do with how it’s distributed. All those complaining about rereleases and pricing need to do some research on distribution rights.

Quit giving Hollywood $, they should be paying us to watch 3/4ths of their garbage produced and rewrapped.
  • Sneaky - No 4K upgrade.

I purchased this movie previously and am being forced to repurchase for the 4K upgrade. Apple promised free 4K upgraded. Very disappointing.

If you already bought this before it’s still there. It’s in your library. But by all means, get a class action lawsuit going and please tell me where and when it goes to court because I want to be in the front row when a simple search of your phones turns up your original purchase. I will pay whatever sum you desire for this privilege. I’ll buy you all brand new 4K versions of this movie if you let me sit in court for it. I’m even willing to settle for being allowed to listen to the calls between yourselves and your lawyers. Hopefully after buying all of you new 4K movies I can still pay the bills I’ll receive after I put myself in the hospital from laughing so hard at your lawsuits.

I bought Live Die Repeat: The Edge of Tomorrow in spring of 2018 & ITunes removed the 4K version & downgrade me to HD cuz they were releasing the film on 4K Blu-ray, so for months I couldn't play the movie I bought in 4K because it was removed so they could put out a 4K Blu-ray so think ITunes may be shady there. This is a classic movie though & they get around upgrading you by putting out special editions like they did w/Donnie Darko, so had to buy twice cuz they didn't want to upgrade people free.

If you already bought the movie, the movie is till available in your Movie library in 4K NOW. I just searched for it and its there. Just because it doesn’t show here doesn’t mean you no longer have it. I have seen people complaining over this on iTunes, when its in fact not true. iTunes doesn’t take the films you already purchased away from your library. They can however take it off the store or re-release at the studio request.
