Jason Statham amazingly showed with this performance that his acting worth is more than just Hollywood brawls, action scenes that never end and high adrenaline chases. I have to agree with two of my predecessors. This movie is a gem and Jason Statham has finally transcended from "only-hard-fists" to real quality acting! Storyline is a bit slow but not so slow that you fall asleep. If you don't want to buy, at least rent this deep seeded movie with a lot of today's real-life issues implemented!

I admit it is not your typical Jason movie however just because there is not a fight every 10 minutes doesn't mean it's not a good storyline. No thank you Hollywood I'll take this over "Birdman" or "Gravity" any day at least I won't fall asleep.

what a great movie. I would liken it to if they had tried to make the transporter a good movie. One of Jason's best films.

The worst Jason Statham movie ever. Slow plot and boring, plodding character development that leads nowhere. DO NOT waste your money.

I love Jason. But was so let down by this movie. I mean I couldn't even watch the whole thing. I hate when war vets are treated like crap and then he becomes someone's muscle. Completely disappointed

People who want Jason Statham to spend an entire movie kicking a## and not bothering to take names can certainly pass but then they are likely movie neanderthals anyway. Hey, I like a good Statham action movie as much as anyone (Safe is my favorite for lotsof action and a decent plot as well) but it is good to see Statham mix in some emotion, deeper stories, etc. and Redemption is a decent product of that. Not perfect but a good somewhat dark story with some good meaning to take away from watching it. At least Statham is in there trying to do something different while still bringing some action along as well. Hope he makes action movies and some like this in the future. Got essentially no distribution in US when released. Rent it!!
