Description

Dopamine is a naturally occurring chemical in the brain that controls movement and reward. At the core of progressive snowboarding, it is movement and reward that provide a natural motivation for riders like Bode Merrill, Victor De Le Rue and Brandon Cocard to evolve and innovate. These explorers of mountain and mental landscapes led the charge this year, changing the definition of what can be done on a snowboard and changing the guard. From the Yukon, Valhallas, Monashees, Dolomites, and Pyrenees the Absinthe crew proves dopamine is free, but you have to get out there to earn it..!

I am relatively new to Absinthe Films but after watching Resonance and Neverland I knew I had to see Dopamine. The film is the truth. Amazing shots and locations not to mention a sick sound track, that is timed perfectly to the riders stunts. Dopamine gets the blood pumping. There were so many shots I had to go back and watch over and over because they are just insane. Not to mention the filming effects like old school grainy black and white, slow motion and sweet fades between shots. So far it's the best film from Absinthe. Keep the goods coming and don't change a thing.
  • Amazing movie, yet again.

One of the best ever, these guys get the best shots/angles/snow/riders/music (PERIOD). Their movies are art. Snowboarding is a lifestyle, and the Absinthe crew capture the art within and while living the lifestyle. Just the right balance of special effects, slow-motion and real time jaw dropping lines. Bravo Tutti. My 6 year old daughter and I watched this and she loved the diversity of the music.

Absinthe's best film in a long time. Great editing and amazing riding. Some of the best new tricks I've seen. HD looks great!

Absinthe comes thru with a banger with Domamine! Huge airs and crazy street segments. This is definitely the hardest hammer movie I've seen from Absinthe in a long time. So many good parts it's hard to pin down. Just next level riding and tons of holy cow moments. Buy HD it's worth it!

I never review anything but after the first comment I felt compelled. The riding in this movie is dope. Some of the most underrated riders and obviously Bode kills it. Music is different but even OneDirection couldn't bring down the riding in this movie.
  • Good riding...weak music

Maybe I'm getting old, but I used to be able to find music to ride to on snowboard videos. Most of the tracks on from this movie would put me to sleep if it wasn't for the rad riding. RIP Mack Dawg, Standard, and Forum videos.....

This movie is not like the typical snowboard fluff that's out there. Everything from urban rails to big mountain lines with a genuine feel. Not overproduced like many others. All this and a soundtrack that doesn't make me want to cut myself.
  • Their best film yet!

That distinct Absinthe style, great footage, great riders and seriously richter street footage!! Had to give this one 5 stars!

Are you kidding me…this movie is snowboarding at it's purest and most progressive form! The grainy super 8 gives this film a personality that other digital movies are missing these days. Lot's of new spots, new talents as well as all time hero's such as Bode who is just going ballistic as well as Wolle Nyvelt, Cale Zima who has one of the best parts and tracks in the film. The sound track is the smoothest in years. Victore de le Rue is the new hot shot from France…giving the film the right ender. Support these guys! One of the last true indy company out there!

After 12 and resonance it was hard to imagine a bad movie from absinthe, but they pulled off the impossible. With so many talented riders and a history of great movies this movie is incredibly bad. Editing is bland, the music is horrible, and the riding is mediocre at best. While Brandon Cocard and Cale Zima steal the show once again, the rest of the riders don't hold up to their usual display of incredible snowboarding. I give this movie a D-
