  • Decent sci-fi flick - 3 1/2 Stars

You can certainly see where the lion's share of the budget went: nice set designs, gorgeous visual effects and great acting. The plot lacked meaningful substance however, which was a let down given the build-up they gave us but in the end I wasn't overall disappointed. Check it out if your looking for a decent sci-fi flick with some nice visuals but don't expect something as well written as Prometheus (though this film does seem to give a nod to it: alien microorganisms). I definitely recommend watching it on Netflix before you choose to purchase a copy.

At least I only rented it and didn’t buy it. This is a really awful film. The acting wasn’t bad, in fact the acting was quite good. The effects and equipment was also OK, if you ignored the fact that Martian gravity is around 1/3 that of earth gravity and it didn’t seem to affect anyone. What was really bad was that the director decided to mercilessly inflict cliches and dramatic effects on the viewers, without thinking about anything else. How did a film like this get funded? Someone had to spend money making it, it doesn’t make sense to me. Anyway, I recommend you trust me and the film critics on this one and don’t rent or buy. Just give it a miss.

Another bacteria infects people and turns then into unfeeling zombies all because one scientist won't follow protocols. A reused theme in so very many scifi films.
  • Good for a one time watch

Actually I recently watched this movie on Netflix, it was definitely entertaining and The cast did a good job at portraying their characters. I like the movie because it was a good mix of resident evil characteristics and a lot of alien characteristics from the movies. It was not as action oriented as I would have liked it too have been and I would like additional information on the bacterial component of the film. All in all it's kept me entertained for the length of time it was on and I don't regret not watching it so I gave it four stars

That is the recommended title for this movie. Pros: only a 99-cent rental, only 1.5 hours long Cons: Awful storyline, awful story development, no character development, nothing original, shocking in its simplicity
  • It sucked

This movie sucked. Big time. Take your 12.00 and throw it out the window of your car as your driving down the street. You’ll get more entertainment out of it and you won’t waste almost 2 hours of your life doing it.
  • Well done and terrifying!

I stumbled across this movie looking for something to watch on a long flight. I had no idea what to expect and was completely engrossed right from the beginning. Yes, at face value it is a "humans vs the undead" flick, but it is done in a very original way that breathes a bit of fresh air into a predictable and overdone storyline. After all, this does take place in outer space, who knows what's really out there? The science around it adds a bit of legitimacy to the plot, and the ending leaves you wondering what the ultimate outcome is. I liked it so much I came home from my trip and bought it on iTunes. Definitely worth the watch!

How original. If you have time to burn, and kind find anything better to watch or do, well, go ahead. But don’t expect much. Just another formula movie.
