Christian Bale and director Christopher Nolan reunite following their blockbuster success with Batman Begins! This time, Heath Ledger joins the cast as The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart stars as Harvey Dent in an all-new adventure of The Dark Knight. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and new district attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart--Thank You for Smoking), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham City forever. The three enjoy early success, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Ledger--Brokeback Mountain), who throws Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman ever closer to crossing the line between hero and vigilante.

  • See you in court

See you in court Apple. I’ve been telling you for 9 years I know about the secrets you keep from users. Now it’s time you pay up sucker. You’ll be hearing from my attorney very soon.. denying me that five dollar refund for a movie that I purchased twice because your system doesn’t recognize I already purchased the movie… that’s called fraud and false advertising. See you in court Apple!
  • Best Batman Movie; Seen On & Off Since I Was 9 Or 10 Years Old

    By Maleficent1999
Of all the “Batman” movies I’ve seen in my lifetime, “Batman: The Dark Knight” is by the best “Batman” movie ever. Don’t get me wrong; I love “Batman & Robin (1997)”, but I’m disappointed with how poorly it did with critics & practically at the box office. Had this sequel’s rebooted predecessor “Batman Begins” not existed roughly 8 years after the bad performance of “Batman & Robin”, there never would’ve been “Batman: The Dark Knight”. Too bad Heath Ledger passed away before this movie was released, but at least his version of The Joker remains the best Joker we’ve ever gotten & always will be. In short, I love “Batman: The Dark Knight”.

  • Meh.

  • Pretty Darn Good

Truly the most important part of the movie is Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker. But people who say this is the best movie ever have clearly skipped over the history of film itself.
  • This & the Keaton Batman

    By brian11380
This is right up there with the original Batman with Keaton and probably surpasses slightly because of ledger (rip heath) who by far was the best joker ever and always will be…dude should have won so many awards for his acting. Everything about it makes it one of the best super hero films of all time
  • Great Batman movie!
