Description

Patrick McCord doesn’t accept the explanation of his sister’s mysterious death as suicide, and instead teams up with a team of paranormal investigators to delve deeper into the inexplicable circumstances that surround what he believes to be murder. The team’s investigation leads them from one bizarre and frightening clue to another, at the center of which seems to exist something evil and terrifying, a presence well beyond their wildest imaginations and experiences. Before long, they realize this deadly entity has now targeted each of them, and they are confronted with the impossible challenge of defeating it and saving their own lives. In the end, what survives, and is presented here, is the disturbing footage that Patrick and his team shot, footage that if seen by others, likely endangers the viewer, marking them as the next victim of this powerful and evil force. Be careful what you chase…you just might end up catching it.

Really creepy. I love horror pictures like this that are POV and similar to "found footage."

I find alot of the people reviewing this , don't take the paranormal seriously, true this is a horror movie , but what they depict , is not unrealistic , there have been many documentations of multiple posessions where the entity jumps from one to the other . True this may just be actors putting on a good show but anyone who claims that the paranormal , that demons , angels etc are not real ? Are really asking for a wake up call that they really would be wise to not invite . I should know , I have seen my fair share and movies like this ? Not smart to provoke what you don't believe in , especially when it is as real as you are . This should never have been done , this movie was a huge mistake on their part

Not worth the time. Whomever comes out with a possession movie that can rival The Exorcist will become a billionaire. This is good if you like skinny jeans and demons on a pogo stick (look it up if you don't get the reference). Save your money.

I am a huge fan of horror movies, but not necessarily the whole found footage genre. I tend to try to give it a chance every now and then and I am glad I did with this movie. The group has enough cameras to be able to show a larger picture and I think that they did a good job with engaging the audience to add an extra bit of creepy. It did give me some goosebumps a few times. I would definitely recommend at least renting it, though I do not regret buying it at all.

Chasing the Devil is a fun, engaging, and genuinely creepy horror flick. It breathes new life into the found footage genre. Highly recommended!
  • Above average film, below average acting

"Chasing The Devil" is not your average found footage film. It's right up there with some of the higher quality found footage films I've seen. It provides a genuinely creepy/mysterious atmosphere throughout, and keeps you wondering what will happen next! Despite all of this, the acting greatly diminished the creepiness of the movie. The characters were so dull and boring, I found myself not caring about what happened to any of them. Nevertheless, this was all around a good film and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a good scare!

I really enjoyed this. Yes, the actors seemed stiff but Keanu Reeves style. The gorgeous dying sister with beautiful teeth videos were distracting. Perhaps a little fashion editorial. The stripping, talentless weird assistant was no favor to women at all. Its a shame because she was a good actor and under utilized. Also the discussion with the spooky professor better via phone or video chat. I wasn’t thrilled with “the ring” style ending but it worked. Other than that the story was a new approach to a stale genre.

Wow 2nd review in 2 days. I'll keep it brief. I was surprisingly pleased with this flick. For a low budget pic the acting was good, effects better than average and plenty of action. Definitely worth a rental. As an aside I'm wondering why there are sooooo many 5 star reviews particularly in the horror section. I mean I can think of maybe 10 films I would consider giving a 5 star review to and yet I see them tossed around like beanbags. Oh we'll that was my rant.

This is a good movie. It was scary in some parts. It was kinda like other movies that are out there. This one has a little twist to it so that was good. Good.

I did not expect much from this movie. As with most found-footage movies, you have the very high quality ones (Rec, Chronicle) and then you have the very poorly made one that don’t even warrant a mention. This one is definitely in the former list of well-made found-footage films. It pulls no punches and gets to the good stuff within the first few minutes; the walls bleed blood, people are thrown by an invisible force and the one scene in the kitchen was amazing! Overall, this is what "The Devil Inside” should have been. Aside from some obvious acting by the cast (some of these people don’t know seem to understand that the lines should not come of as reading from a script), this movie was very well-made and actually creeped me out a bit. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for an above average film. Good job, guys!
