Absolutely beautifully done

In the end I didn’t care much for the characters. The sound was in and out of the video.

I really liked this ensemble piece starring a group of up-and-comers, including Beck Bennet and Brett Dalton…filmed in Michigan, so it’s an added plus for my state!…The story is similar to that of Return of the Secaucus Seven, or The Big Chill, without the big budget. It’s a kickstarter project and lots of us helped fund this film. Check it out, it makes for a terrific viewing. I’ve watched it several times, I liked it that much.

You can tell a lot of love went into the making of this movie. It has a pretty interesting visual style - one that I haven’t really seen in a movie before (I’m guessing because the director is a photographer). The story isn’t the most original, but I do think it’s an original take on a familiar story. Reunions are happy, sad, awkward and comfortable all at once. You always connect in some way with the people who knew you when, but after so much time has passed, can you ever really get the old times and feelings back? I think everyone can relate to that at least a little bit. It’s nostalgic in a way that lets you know that it’s okay to move forward, you’ll be all right.

I've seen this film at least three times now and it gets better each time. It is a beautiful and funny story with such depth. In BSW, there are no villains and there are no heroes. Each character is real, flawed, and endearing. Watch it. Love it. Draw eyes and a nose on your chin to make a funny face afterward. Whiskeyslap a friend. I promise: you will have fun.

I was persuaded to watch this movie by the reviews I read on iTunes. I find it hard to believe they are legitimate. This is a very weak movie. Almost none of the characters seem real, or are interesting. The acting is poor, the script is bad, the story is weak. It is a waste of time and money.

I felt that the character relationships were very believable and the story was presented in a way that really helped me connect to the story. However, I just wish there had been more to the ending. I would have liked to see that the characters made a commitment to not falling out of touch like they had prior to the tragic death of Daniel’s parents. Overall an excellent film.

Heartwarming and heartbreaking in all the best ways! BSW is such an earnest portrayal of friendship and loss. Terrific acting, directing and writing all around.

At first look, you may wonder how you could relate to a story about a bunch of good looking people hanging out at a lake house. Similar to real life, you need to delve deeper to understand what each person is struggling with, to better sympathize with where they are in life during this 3 day weekend. With an incredibly talented cast, you are invited along on this never ending journey of letting go of the past, acknowledging your present, and hopefully looking forward to your future. Some of the most humorous and most heartbreaking moments occur with just one look, head tilt, eyebrow raise. The music itself becomes its own character of the film, all led by the impressive first time director of Chris Lowell. A great movie to watch with loved ones!

This film is visually stunning due to the artful direction of Chris Lowell. The entire ensemble delivered incredibly moving and heartfelt performances. The audience can easily connect to any one of the numerous issues the character's deal with throughout the movie. One of the most relatable storylines is becoming estranged with friends who you were once close with. I highly recommend this film. It has everything from humor to heartache.
