Al, a young man from a modest background, is ten days away from marrying his boss's daughter and succeeding him as the head of the car dealership where he works. After a raucus, booze-filled bachelor party, Al is behind the wheel when he causes a serious accident. Urged to leave the scene by his two childhood friends, he does only to be gnawed by guilt as he sobers up. What he does not know is that the entire accident was witnessed from a balcony by a young woman, Juliette, who called 911 and contacted the victim’s wife, Véra. Gradually Juliette comes to know Al, becoming a mediator between him and the unsuspecting Véra. Things get ever more complicated as Al and Juliette's chemistry becomes apparent and Véra discovers their secret relationship.
