It makes me laugh and at the same time makes me see a lot of myself in Gretchen. It has relatable topics for everyone. I love how even the smallest of characters has their own storyline lol. The writing is awesome. I wouldn't change a thing. It's like reading a really good book, I just can't turn away from. Love this show.
  • Loved Season 2 just as much as the first!

So glad that this amazing show was renewed for a third season after this! This season takes a darker turn but it's characters really rose to the challenge and came through in the end! Excellent performance by Aya Cash!

Depression is a terrible unspoken and it’s importantly getting more exposure as the shame and stigma around it are lifted, albeit slowly. That said, for me the show was a terrible disappointment. It crossed every line of reprehensible behavior that, to me, did a disservice to the plight of depression. I struggled to find any redeeming positive message about depression empathy alongside the self interested characters, their abuse, neglect and cruelty to each other, their admitted ignore of reality, or their unabashed, reckless drug and alcohol use. The misinformation about birth and science, friend shaming, and finger pointing speak to endemic cultural privileged entitlement. These prevalent dangerous messages need no help spreading and sinking further into the global psyche. For someone who suffers with depression, this was not a hopeful message about compassion or community. This is arrogance and bravado, proudly celebrated.

I originally found this show from an article stating that there is now a show that accurately describes depression. They were right. And it is amazing. Of course this show isn't a perfect example of depression but it's a better representation than any other show I've seen. No it doesn't try to explain it or describe it, it shows it in a way that so many people can relate to. Regardless of what so many viewers say, this show is still extremely entertaining and hilarious in basically every episode just like the first season. It is well written and aesthetically pleasing. Five stars hands down.
  • You'll care for the people that are the best at being the worst!

I don't know what's up with the bad reviews. This show is so underrated and the writing is so good! These characters do the worst things imaginable, but at the end of each episode you still care for them. You want them to get their crap together, to figure out their lives, to have some kind of cheesy happy ending. This show isn't one that seems like it will ever have a super cheesy romantic scene where the main characters admit their love for each other, embrace and kiss as the credits roll, it isn't that kind of show. Although there are subtle hints of that sort of cheesiness throughout the series (not overwhelming, but just enough to make you crack a small smile). It is by no means the kind of romance where the guy is trying to woo the girl or vice versa, it's quite the opposite. There will be times where you'll literally say out loud "What the hell are you doing, you're such an idiot!" This is what makes the show so amazing, it can pull so many different emotions out of you. It's a truly delightful show that will have you feeling many different ways, but you won't regret it! It's to a certain extent, relatable, funny and darkly romantic. P.S. Season 2 introduces a mental disorder and it does it wonderfully and all while keeping the show funny. Mind you they don't make fun of the mental disorder, but they tie it into the show very well. As I said before, you care for the characters even though they truly are the worst.

Loved Season 1 - so bought Season 2 without hesitation. What happened ? New writers ?? What was a funny, witty show ... is now just plain boring. I am no longer bothered to download each episode it is THAT BAD. Shame.

The show is stupid and lame. Also, the cruelty against animals is unnecessary and certainly not funny!

Let’s face it folks, Season Two isn’t in the same class as season one was. Where Season One made you gasp at the hilarious vulgarity, or belly laugh at yet another display of outrageous sexuality or maybe you blush in embarrassment at the petty, vindictive and shallow acts the characters inflict upon each other (such acts we all secretly wish we could do in real life) Season Two is the story about a twenty-something couple who recently moved in together, another getting a divorce and a third having a baby. BORING. If something doesn’t happen soon (we’re at episode four now?) I’m done. Seriously, no one is having any sex, no one is being wantonly but hilariously cruel to someone else and the witty repartee and insults have all but evaporated. Why, why or why, would I watch this when there is so much else out there just the same, but maybe a little better on a channel easier to find on my cable box to boot? C’mon folks, get your act together.
  • Absurdly funny!

This comedy actually makes you laugh - it's an absurdly funny couple who are totally incompatible. Season 1 was the best so start there.

I was longing for the second season. It's witty, funny. Not safe to watch in front of the kids. Absolutely a must see.
