Description

In small towns and along America's back roads, treasures are waiting to be uncovered; valuable relics from our history that are hidden in junk piles, buried in barns and stacked in garages. It takes experts to find them…and turn rust to riches. American Pickers follows two of the most skilled “pickers” – Mike Wolfe, owner of Antique Archaeology, and his business partner, Frank Fritz – as they hunt down objects with historical, collectible and pop culture value that have been long forgotten by their owners. Along the way, they meet people whose own stories open a window into American lives and history.

  • Great Show

I love American Pickers more than most of the "Reality" Shows because they go hunting all over the country looking for national treasures that have been hidden away by collectors for years, and to see all the really old advertising and gadgets and just majorly cool stuff that can either be restored or re-purposed, but their goal is to get these things that nobody is really enjoying out and to people who will fix these things up or use them instead of them wasting away in a garage or out in a yard somewhere. Mike and Frank, the two main guys, really compliment each other well to do these "picks", where Frank usually has the older women drawn to him and his beard etc... Frank can usually relate to the guys or older men who tend to gravitate more to Mike as he seems to come across differently than Frank, and that's ok, it helps them really get the most out of the Picks that Danny D. (their assistant) gives them. Love the show as I always learn something when I watch it.
