Description

A year after the events of last season, The Four Lands is in chaos. The re-emergence of magic has the populace terrified, and an organization called The Crimson is hunting down magic users, using fear and intimidation to sow discord among the races. Wil Ohmsford, scarred by the loss of Amberle and his separation from Eritrea, has turned his back on his magical destiny to become a healer. But when a mysterious woman named Mareth saves Wil from a Crimson attack, he is forced to rejoin the fight. After reuniting with Eretria, Wil and Mareth seek out Allanon, only to learn that the Druid’s former protege, Bandon, is on a mission to resurrect a creature of darkest evil: The Warlock Lord. Together, our heroes must band together to take down The Crimson and prevent Bandon from unleashing an even greater threat upon the Four Lands… before it’s too late.

complete garbage. Even worse than the first season, which is hard to imagine. Anyone who likes this is either 10 or has no sense of taste, class or style. Has nothing to do with the books. The author sold out big time to let a studio attach the book titles to this nonsense. This is what hapens when you put a woke take on something from the past simply to try and make it more appealing to today's misguided generation

I read the Shannara series when I was in seventh grade and since then I have been waiting for there to be TV show or movie which would bring its great story to a larger audience. I’m still waiting. The first season was horrible, but at least it somewhat mirrored the plot of the book, Elfstones of Shannara. During the final episodes when the demons attacked Arborlon wearing what appeared to be Halloween masks I thought I was finished with this poor attempt, but I decided to give the second season a try. I won’t be giving the third season the same chance. If the writers had erased the scenes in Season Two where characters spent time lamenting their shortcomings or “how hard life is…” the season would have been five episodes long as opposed to ten. Tragically, exceptional characters like Allanon, though portrayed by someone as cool as Manu Bennett, stumble from mistake to mistake and in Allanon’s case from capture by his enemies to capture. How the characters were written bothers me the most. They’re written to be frail people driven by their personal desires as opposed to the determined and impassioned people portrayed in the books. Added to that the plot holes were big enough to drive a Creeper through and the action focuses on the misadventures of the characters and their poor attempts at defeating an old foe. The writers of this series took extreme license and little of what happens in the books is even depicted in season two. Worse, what they do create is a horrible rendition of Terry Brooks’ novels and the characters that inhabit it. I hope you steer away from it and the series goes into the trash heap where it belongs.

This Amazing. If you’re expecting the books, don’t. Let this be its own authentic fun story.

This is as bad as the previous year. The writers have got to be 12 y/o?!
  • Season 1 Great! Season 2 not as much.

I watched the whole thing, and though decent, I do think the physical acting (swords excettera) for a season of 10 was a bit week, also felt the lesbian thing though maybe not an agenda did feel a bit forced. Spoiler, disapointed a certain druid is dead one of my favorites from the show. And the trolls ... really need to work on that with the CGI they have still waiting to see a decent troll.

The show is good. It’s one show that has a good follow up season 2. However, the first season was a little better.
