Welcome back to Westworld, the Emmy®-winning drama series where the puppet show is over and the newly liberated “hosts” are coming for humankind. In Season Two, chaos takes control as Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood) takes charge, Maeve Millay (Thandie Newton) is on a mission and the mysterious Man in Black (Ed Harris) is back. A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness, the birth of a new form of life on Earth, and the evolution of sin, the series was created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who executive produce alongside J.J. Abrams, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, Athena Wickham and Ben Stephenson. The acclaimed cast also includes James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro, Luke Hemsworth and more.

Loves season 1 but the show takes a turn in season 2 and never recovers.

The timeline is not for those who are used to corporate mainstream productions.
  • Too dark

Not enough fun. Basically everyone you really like dies. WFP (What's the F'ing Point!?)

    This show is fantastic!
  • The flavor of the show changed and not for the better.

They seem to be trying to explain what happened rather than have the story continue.
  • Jonah Nolan is back at it.

With Season 2, we get to see more of the creativity of Jonah Nolan, brother to the genius Chris Nolan. Though he doesn't reach the heights of his brother he can be force of nature for writing and a catalyst of ideas like we saw from him in Season 1, and the movies of the Dark Knight Trilogy and Interstellar. As in his work with Interstellar, you see more of his working in of abstract ideas/concepts which can make for challenging viewing if you don't binge watch the season, seeing each episode one after another.
  • discounted season pass?

is $29.99 a discount? oh dear iTunes, please recategorize this as a non discounted season.
  • Quite impressed

I'll say it: Season 2 not only does a very nice job of following up on the first, but it's better. The story arc, even when things seem to be wandering off the path, is more consistent and coherent than in season 1 -- more philosophical and even metaphysical, less confused mumbo jumbo. Two episodes that superficially seem to be digressions, 5 and 8, actually add depth and meaning to the overall -- and the story in episode 8, a Native American spin on the Orpheus myth, is downright beautiful. The last episode, unfortunately, is a bit of a confusing mess -- not unlike season 1 -- which, even at its length and deliberate pace, seems to be in a bit of a rush to tie together all the narrative lines of the season (well, most of them) while also hinting at several directions season 3 might go. It's too much. Simpler might have been better. Still, overall, I think it's very good tv, better than season 1, and full of promise for the next.

Love the show and the head actress is great (Evan Rachel Wood).
