  • A must-see documentary

I grew up with rabid fans of Ali-my brothers, nephews, cousins, who were all older than me. As the baby of the family,I was also given the chance, and in hindsight, the privilege, to see him in the ring. I wasn’t old enough to see him at his very best, and I do have the nightmare of actually being present to his last, and nightmarish, last fight. But,as much as I thought that I knew about him-especially his disregard and disrespect for women,I can hardly judge him unless I also paint most of brothers with the same brush,as they also had the same mannerisms. I never had a chance to either mourn either him,nor any of the other men that shaped my younger years, and this documentary gave me the chance to do so. He wasn’t a perfect man-far from it,but he was a man that was ahead of his time in many ways.
