  • Boring and too long

    By jhm12870
I guess I’ve watched too many documentaries regarding the Universe over the years. There was little new information in the series. The series could have been condensed into just 2 episodes. I quickly became bored and got tired of seeing all the CGI work.
  • The narrator ruins a wonderful series.

    By JK560
First episode try: The narrator's cadence and weird word emphasis makes this almost unwatchable, despite amazing visuals and new information presented. I feel like I'm being talked to by a fourth grade science teacher. Was very interested in seeing this, but I do not know if I can endure listening to this narrator for multiple episodes. A disappointment. Second episode try: I’ve been watching this show on broadcast television. I was very much looking forward to it. But… the narration makes it near-unwatchable. The good: The visuals are amazing and the information is new. The very bad: The narrator hits word emphasis at awkward points; infuses unnecessary verbal drama into the script. (Hint: It’s science; not theatre. The script does not need to be dramatically infused.) I don’t like to go on about this, but I was truly looking forward to this PBS NOVA series and now I’m so disappointed. One feels as though one is being talked to like a fourth grader. Third episode try: I give up.
  • Information or entertainment?

I have enjoyed this so far. The graphics are superb and I love seeing all the enthusiasm the young scientists bring to the discussion.
  • Narrator is awful

    By Clinozoisite
The narrator is frankly, quite awful; they do not narrate fluidly or with the correct prosody. It makes this first episode painful to watch. NOVA needs to realize that fabulous tv shows can be ruined by awful narration because they keep making this mistake over and over again.
