Janet Jackson is timeless, beautiful, sex symbol, one of theeee top tier entertainers of all time! Glad she was able to tell her story and represent her legacy and her legendary family’s legacy in a great light. 15.7 Million tuned into see this documentary. She’s JANET! Love her albums, world tours, movies and I hope she continues, but if she wants to concentrate on motherhood and raising her son is also understandable and she has that right. She’s been entertaining the world since age 7. I feel at least her big 5 classic album eras deserves their own individual documentary. A true Queen 👑, love MISS JANET.

Definitely a must watch. Janet tells her story. She really has lived her life-from her humble beginnings in Indiana-to present day-she has gone through it. She proves, once again, why she is an Icon.
  • The best documentary on a celebrity ever

As the title suggest this is the best documentary on a celebrity I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I really enjoyed how the documentary was quite revealing and was even celebratory. With access to never-before seen footage, home movies, pictures, and exclusive interviews with members of her family and close friends, fans, musicologists, and general viewers have been given a glimpse into what life was like for the multi-award winning star. The documentary begins by showing where she grew up in Encino California as part of a large family that included brothers Tito, Marlon, Michael, Randy ,and sister LaToya. There are appearances from many people who knew her during these early years including her brother Tito Jackson who states "She always had it" when describing how naturally talented she was at singing music since childhood. More importantly is how the documentary humanizes herself, her brother Michael Jackson and the rest of the Jackson family that has been the victims of racism, false allegations, and outright made up stories. They discuss how they not only had a tight-knit family, but also that her father Joe Jackson was very controlling over the lives of his children. He was known to be extremely tough on them and would even make them rehearse for hours on end. However, he gave them life lessons and taught them about business which is something they all turned out to be successful. This Documentary is a MUST watch!
