Sanditon, Season 2

I’m so thankful for the return of this show! I love following the town and all the characters in it. Please keep bringing this one back!!

The fans of season 1 wanted a season 2 and campaigned and got it. Unfortunately it was low budget and the new love interest does not hold a candle to Theo James.

Many people won’t give this season a chance after hearing Theo James quit the show and many people like to compare this great show to Bridgerton as well. Firstly I’d like to say I didn’t think this show should be compared to an equally great show. Bridgerton and sanditon are both great shows and have many different aspects and just because they based on similar times they really should not be compared to each other. Since people are comparing why not give it watch then 🤷‍♀️ Those of you who are hesitant on watching on the fact that Sydney Parker (Theo James) is no longer in the series you should know that his absence is acknowledged in the show and all the characters grieve the absence and to be honest it brought a kind of closer to me while watching this show. Sydney’s character could never be replaced and the connection and love between charlotte and Sydney will never be topped but I love that she is still moving on with her life like the strong woman she is and there may be another man that she falls for too. This season has new characters added and new relationships formed wether it be romantic or just friends I very much enjoyed this season and I’m patiently awaiting the 3rd season.

The first season was beautiful, interesting, and well written (except the ending of the season). The second season feels disconnected, plot holes, lack of chemistry. The magic is gone, save your time and watch the first season until the middle of the last episode and turn it off, and that is how is should have ended.

Multiple story lines; great character development, maintains the dignity & quality of a Jane Austin novel.

There are just not enough series like these. This one is a wonderful story with superb acting. I love all the characters and root for them all. Hope they make a third season.

Oh and a bad acting

Thank you for the return of this beautiful show and to all the cast and crew who worked so hard. It leaves wanting more and a resolution but I look forward to season 3

The series was accidentally released before it should’ve and I jumped at the chance. No spoilers here. While Sidlotte was endgame, the actor/character did not return but I think they honor Sidney wonderfully. He’s mourned, referred to and his character kept intact. Other characters are also sharing the limelight with Charlotte vs being side pieces to her story. Jane Austen began writing the story “The Brothers” and season 2 is honoring that - they story allows for the Parker Brothers to be more then the catalyst to push forward Charlotte’s story. Esther’s story hit me hard and she has the best lines in the show. Oh, and of course, Charlotte is still our heroine and lead. She takes steps to moving on past Sidney and it’s a similar journey to us fans. Can’t wait til season 3

Season 2 is so good. I’m obsessed. It’s the best period drama on TV! A must watch.
