  • Destroyed the books…

WHERE IS MICHAEL CURRY? You’ve destroyed the books. What is wrong with staying true to the books?? I’ll not be buying or watching season two.
  • Fresh, Young Minds Needed

    By T.M. Den
I grew up reading Anne Rice books, so I’m Club Anne, too. In my opinion, The Witching Hour is one of THE best book of fiction ever created. So, speaking to all die-hards who aren’t keeping an open mind: I get you. But this series isn’t trying to be something from the (long gone) past. This series is meant for fresh young minds, even those minds that are in 50-year-old+ bodies. So, please, cry babies ! Try to think like an immortal, or, at least, an intelligent half-wit(ch) by opening your mind to something fresh, not stale. Rowan is absolutely gorgeous, not a an old hag like how most of you dull birds seem to imagine this character should be.
  • Just watch it!

So good! Great acting and strong story! Needs more magic and development but overall great!
  • One of the best

Enjoy ever chapter. I sure hope there’s more.
  • Not An Adaptation At All

    By Replacing Soon?
I bought the series due to my enthusiasm over the source material; I’m now past the halfway point and there is no chance to reclaim my hopes for this adaptation, there are too many problems with this show to list, almost every decision made for the screen is a poor choice, almost every one. Credit to the cinematographer and camera crew, the show has some decent moments of pure-photographic sensibility. Beyond that, this adaptation is irredeemable for it’s bizarre compromises, for it’s weak passes at the book’s true plot and characters. I must include my disdain for the cheap special effects, possibly the worst I’ve seen on TV in a decade or more.
  • Disappointed

Adaptation of Books, games, or anything is hard to please original material audiences. This deserves poor ratings for not even trying. They took Anne’s premise and ditched everything else. The only thing good in the show is Alexandria

  • Disappointing

If you are expecting The Mayfair Witches to align with Anne Rice novels, you will be very disappointed. Creative license has distorted plot lines the main character of Michael is missing!
