Babylon 5: In the Beginning (TV Movie)

Yes it does have new stuff and yes it does bring to light things that took place that we didn't know about before, but not knowing these things was not that much of an inconvenience. The movie was maybe worth a couple of dollars, but not really worth the hour and a half invested in it.

I've always been a sci-fi fan, but to me, Babylon 5 was the best. good actors, good plots, all the ingrediants that you need, sort of like cooking,what a great recipe! this tv movie, was a little drawn out, but so what you got what you came for, I wished the series was still on.

'In the Beginning' is the best of the Babylon 5 movies! A whole story - this movie stands out on it's own. You don't need to have seen any of the Babylon 5 series to enjoy it. But after watching it, you will want to see the rest of the Babylon 5 story. What sets Babylon 5 apart from all other SciFi series: It is one complete story, from beginning to end - five seasons of character development, action, and adventure. Watching one show after another is like reading a novel you can't put down. 'In The Beginning' is THE missing back story for all Babylon 5 fans. If you enjoyed the series - you will absolutely love this movie. If you are thinking of buying the Babylon 5 seasons, buy this movie first. You will very happy you did.

After four years of struggling in syndication, TNT gave Babylon 5 a home. The network started off with a home run when they made this movie as an introduction to the series. It weaves existing footage from the show together with new material to entice those that had never seen the show in syndication or had seen episodes but couldn't see where the show was going. I'm glad I took the slow path and watched the show in during its initial run but if you want a glimpse of the 5 year arc, watch this movie-the best 2 hours of Babylon 5.
