Best of The Outer Limits (Reboot), Vol. 2

Season 1 episodes 1&2 The Sand kings was my favorite…how the heck is it not included in any of the best of?!?!

This new(er) Outer Limits series is great! Really stands up against Twilight & the like. My only complaint is that this "best of" release format leaves several episodes out. Fair enough, out of 7 or so seasons, they couldn't all be winners; but I really would have liked enjoy & rediscover the entirety of the series.

Yes-while there are many current sci fi shows, most are presented as stories within a given format(i.e. 'Stargate' or Battlestar Galactica' for instance) thereby watering down the actual 'science fiction' in it. With the new 'Outer Limits' series, it was always a surprise;you never know what to expect or where the story will lead-and also, what point the story is trying to make-much like the old 'Twilight Zone' stories,except that the focus is less on drama and more on science and space. If you are a fan of 'Twilight Zone' and you are looking for the same type of storytelling, you should definitely check this show out.

So bad is this attempt at a remake that one would think the writers responsible would beg to be transported to another dimension where banality rules the vertical and horizontal without compassion or mercy for the intelligent viewer. By all means go and rent the original Outer Limits to know what it means to challenge, frighten, amaze and inspire audiences. But if your after tamer stuff, the kind that one consumes without having to work at it, then go ahead a waste your time and money on the "outer limits new series," you disappointment will not be disappointed!
