Nancy Travis co-stars as his wife, while Tim Meadows plays his best friend. Engvall and Travis continue to offer a humorous look at what it takes to be a parent in today’s world. The Second Season of TBES has improved greatly since the last season. The first season of Bill Engvall was rarely ever funny. This season it has gotten much better. It's funny, but still not very funny. It's nowhere near a classic and still needs much improvement. Nontheless, it's still a good show.
  • this season rules the family and aj are great

If you like Bill's stand comedy act you will love this show. You can see that it is heavily based on his act. I agree that it is your typical family based comedy show but it is hilarious. I look forward to many, many seasons!!

You won't see anything you haven't seen before on the Bill Engvall show. Set in Anywhere, USA? Check. Dad is a somewhat dorky-yet-proud throwback? Check. Mom is the real boss of the house who rolls her eyes at Dad's crazy antics? Check. Kids are good and full of wisecracks? Check. If you're looking for a way to kill 22 minutes, you could certainly do worse than this show... but you could also do much, much better.
