Description

Aware his presence only puts Scully and William in jeopardy Mulder once again disappears — but at least this time it is his own choice. A frustrated Agent Doggett tries to find Mulder so he can proceed with his investigation against Deputy Director Kersh, but Scully and Skinner finally convince him to drop his case. Yet even as Scully helps Agent Doggett and Agent Reyes on some of their cases she realizes William is still in danger. When she learns a religious cult wants her son dead she turns to the Lone Gunmen. But even they cannot prevent William from being kidnapped, a fact which forces Scully to make a painful decision. Yet even in her darkest hour she receives word that Mulder has been found — and is being held in a military brig for the murder of a man who cannot die.

  • SUNSHINE DAYS....

The 9th season of The X-Files includes what is perhaps the best episode of this series, "Sunshine Days," or that is what this viewer feels, for it's remarkable imaginative writing and the love that it creates, albeit it requires the viewer to suspend all disbelief and that, because of the vision of the writer or writers of this episode, is done because of their letting the story go where it wanted to, as loving parents let their progeny go though doing so may leave them feeling quite alone. As the story unfolds what makes us all feel what it means to be alive empties us of all the fear that too often prevents us from reaching out to each other, as the psychologist commands his patient never to use his psycho-kinetic powers again and assures him he is not alone in the world. Doggett reaching for Reyes hand at the end of this story completes this remarkable tale.

I finally downloaded the last season today! This is my number one show ever and I wish it would have continued with more seasons, but I agree that without Mulder it was pointless. Anyway, all good shows have to end and the best part of it is to own the episodes to watch them over and over again! If you don't have this collection, start downloading them season by season, I think it took me more than a year to have them all!

I like the X-Files but near the end its as if the writing became lazy.

but unlike many fans, I don't think that's negative. All things must change eventually, or we would be bored by it. With Doggett and Reyes taking over the X-files cases, and Scully taking a back seat role by resuming teaching at Quantico, the show does take on a new feel. Doggett and Reyes gave us some great moments, with impressive acting by both Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish. Highlights of the season include "4-D", "Audrey Pauley", and "Release".

This series is one of a kind. The chemistry between Mulder and Scully made this show a must-watch in its early seasons and the writing kept it going up until the last episode. It should go down in history as a Sci-Fi classic. It was a pleasure to watch and hear the cast discuss the show on Inside Media at the Paley Center. All nine seasons are ones to cherish.

no mulder was definitely a downpoint and agent dogget and reyes replacing mulder and scull wasnt that great but it did have some noteworthy episodes like daemonicus and of course the truth. i also like william and sunshine days but overall the season was weak. still its the x-files so 5 stars!
