Oh yes! Holly Hunter is amazing, great cast, great premise, great writing. Love the spiritual messages without the usual sickingly sweet and over-preachy format. And Episode 5 moved me to tears!

As we draw closer to Leon Cooley's execution, everyone is catering to his Islam faith. Islam and Christianity are nowhere near in harmony. And even more patronizing, a Catholic priest is leading Leon down a heretical road. No Catholic priest would cater to that. What, are we so afraid to admit this country is founded on Christian principles that we are "afraid" to offend someone by having a priest and an angel talk about Jesus and not Mohammed!?!?!? Well, the writers sold out to Islam and have offended Christians. So now what? You have offended me, a Christian and the majority. So now what? If this were an Islam based show, then so be it. But you are forcing Islam through Christian channels, i.e., a priest and an angel. Nice sellout.
  • I love Saving Grace. Holly Hunter is proof positive that we can look as good as we feel.

The series is fun, compelling and imaginative. Most importantly, Holly Hunter’s portrayal of Grace is an inspiration. She is drop-dead sexy with a razor sharp wit. I think her portrayal of Grace is proof positive that we can look as good as we feel. Given her past success, I suspect Hunter took a downside risk to her film carer in bringing Grace to the tube but clearly it was the right choice... The results are Amazing. It’s rare to see as talented an actor deliver such a stunning performance in a television series. Combined with Holly Hunter is Leon Rippy who gives a stellar ongoing performance as an Angel named Earl. He delivers the “divine word” and balance to Hunter’s Grace Hanadarko with country charm and unflappable self confidence. Central to the success of Saving Grace, Leon Rippys performance as Earl, is thought provoking, fun and most important, believable. Rippy gives us a relaxed, humanistic, divine messenger, that everyone would want to know. Saving Grace has an amazingly talented team. A fabulous mix of talented cast, producers with a point and writers that deliver a television series we look forward to.

It's funny, but most of the people I know DO NOT like this show and neither do I. Here we have a itty-bitty woman who is approacing 50, who is a functional alcoholic, and has endured more national tragedies than anyone with the worst luck --out fighin' crime! She was direct victim of her sister's death in the OKC bombings then, lo and behold, she was a sexual assault victim of the Catholic church scandal. All the while she out being a tough stud-muffin riding her horse to a crime scene or driving her Porsche (on a cops salary??) drunk. (Didn't her mom die when she was young as well?) She shouldn't be fighting crime; she should be institutionalized! I did like the first two epidsodes. I thought, "not bad"! Then the character just couldn't measure up to the baggage she carries. In real life she would have sabotaged herself a long time ago.
  • where is the rest of the show

I love this show and I want it to continue, but I also agree with another review that they should bring back Charmed ones. That was the best show I' ve watched in along time, along with all the Law and Order shows and CSI. Bring back the old shows in a new story line.
