The Real Housewives of New York City, Season 1

I’ve caught bits and pieces of this show over the years, but I guess due to the ‘hype’ never really got into it. Then, I caved and DLed the 1st season as a trashy treat when I wasn’t feeling so well and, lo and behold…even my husband got hooked! We have subsequently ordered seasons 2 and are working our way through that now. Bethany is hilarious, Ramona is batpoop cray cray, but I find it endearing, and oh lord don’t get me started on Alex and Simon. Both my guy and I get excited now when it’s one of their scenes, b/c they’re just so ridiculous. And Countess is a classic. She’s such a dork but again I say that not to be mean but in turn find it engaging. I never thought I’d get into one of these series, so “bravo!” Bravo!

Yes, Orange County was on its third season already but that show was and still is a hot mess. The Real Housewives of New York City in my opinion, really initiated the Real Housewives franchise. The women were a lot more real and way less insecure and self-conscious on how they looked, they basically were living their routine lives; though of course that slowly began to change while the seasons progressed. Most noticeably in season 4 were all of them have at least 3-4 lbs of makeup. In all, Season 1 of RHONYC is fantastic; Bethenny, LuAnn, Jill, Ramona, and Alex were all very enjoyable to watch , faultless or not. Bethenny especially was what made this show (though I can't get into her spin-off, just doesn't interest me). Anyways, Highly Recommended.

When will you bring the ones from Atlanta on here???? I need some good laughter for my soul!

This was the season that really got me hooked to this series. These women don't try to be something they're not, and they have very interesting lives. In contrast, Real Housewives of ATL was a terrible representation of society in the South. I couldn't watch it at all... click yes if you agree!

The New York women even insanely rich are a lot more real than the wives in the OC and Atlanta. With the exception of the ugly chick married to the French guy, they were just annoying. I'm glad they finally got it for download

will the ATL fans please stop trashing the OC & NYC? ATL is for the Jerry Springer-set, where both the star (Nene) and the villain (Sheree) got evicted from their homes. Not up to snuff compared to the OC & NYC!

I have to agree with Emroy Law Girl and Anon-one. When are they going to add Housewives of ATL. That was the best series by FAR......

When, OH WHEN, will The Real Housewives of Atlanta be added to iTunes? Why is it that all other television shows are added during the season, and you can purchase while the season is occuring? The first season is NOW OVER! Will the ATL wives be added now? Just an inquiry and request...thank you!
