Description

This definitive natural history of the world's oceans covers everything from popular shores and teeming shallows to the mysterious open depths. Two-thirds of the planet is covered by the oceans and yet they remain largely unexplored and certainly under-filmed. This series changes all that and subsequently changes our views of the deep. Advances in underwater photography has opened the doors to unknown territories never before explored.

This series is deserving of every star and then some. SD only? It's a waste of money to buy the SD version of this. Please Apple, bring us an HD version to buy? Please? Or at least explain why an HD version is not offered.

This is an amazing series but needs to be offered in HD! I would buy it in a heart beat to replace my Bluray if you offered an HD version!

One of my favorite episodes, because we know so little about the ocean deep. We're still discovering new species every day, and have only explored the surface of the ocean deep. By far this series is one of the best out there. I love marine life and watching this has been such a joy.

The planet as it should be seen. A wonderful view of what many unfortunately cannot see. An opportunity to see this is one that you should not overlook.

It's true that if you loved Planet Earth, this is a series that you should definitely watch. It is one of the best nature documentaries ever made and brings the everyday dramas that play out in the world's oceans to your home. With all the stunning photography, amazing life forms, rare sights and the different environments that are documented, this series is equally as amazing as Planet Earth!!

There's something bizarrely hypnotic about being educated about our planet by someone with a British accent. This series is just as brilliant as Planet Earth, of which I am also a proud owner. Beautiful animals, breathtaking scenery, and astonishing facts make this a must have for teachers, parents, and the eternal students among us who will never stop learning.
