Description

TransWorld SNOWboarding magazine presents the Team Shoot Out — a new kind of competition that challenges snowboard pros and media pros to combine forces and shoot the best video in a set amount of time. The all-new Team Shoot Out is a groundbreaking format that puts snowboarding’s best riders, including Bjorn Leines, Pat Moore, Torstein Horgmo, and more, together with park builders and media in a creative battle to document snowboarding in a fresh way. With the help of expert park builders, the Forum, Burton, Rome, and DC teams break off to four separate resorts to build, ride, and shoot in secrecy. The riders have just one week to deliver the best riding they can. With media pros behind the cameras blending creative vision with next-level riding, the Shoot Out redefines what a shred contest can be. The result is like nothing we’ve seen before — jaw-dropping action films that shed new light on the visual power of snowboarding and get you amped. Shot on location at Bear Mountain, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe, and Aspen/Snowmass in the Spring of 2009, the TransWorld Team Shoot Out delivers progressive, pro-level park riding that — until now — you’ve only dreamt of.

I loove my dads work, it is very nice to know my dad is doing what he loves and we all enjoy it as well.. he takes us up in the snowcat.. shows us how to work it.. and is very interactive with his family.. he thinks of winning this compition, not as a fame sensation, but as a reward for his 15 years of working for the winter x-games.. i love my dad and i am glad he won because he deserves this...(: -Danielle Stitzel:D

this was a pretty decent vid. i really enjoyed forums, dc's, and romes parts in the video. so creative and unique it makes you wanna go snowboard in the middle of the summer. the only reason i didnt give this a 5 star is because i thought burtons part was god aweful. the girls team is good and all but if they want to win something they should bring in there big guys, like kevin pearce, danny davis, mason aguire, and so on and so forth. no shaun white though cause i personally dont think hes too great of a rider

I spent my last $5 on this and it doesn't even play! All it is is a grey screen for 35 min. I even uninstalled the update for the new Itunes to see if that was the problem. The problem is with this actual movie file. Freakin RIPPED OFF. Bummer. Gonna have to call customer service over a freakin itunes file now.
  • Rome doesn't get my vote. (But I haven't watched the video yet)

From the pictures and the descriptions from the september issue of TW Snowboarding it seems like forum should have won. Forum had the largest spread of pages and had the best photographs (in the mag at least). I havn't watched the video yet, but forum's concept was sick! C'mon, jumping over a line of burning christmas trees? Wall riding on block ice? Forum's build was definitely the most creative. Burton Second, and props to burton for going with an all female crew. Rome's park idea was bogus. And Black and White? What are we in beginning photography and creative design? I will re-review in an hour when I watch this thang.

Over all the movie is great, DC and Burton did kinda over edit their parts but...Other than that it was great. Be sure to watch Romes part. Its the best editing I've seen since "No Correct Way", very simple. Not too complex. Great!!!!!!

Rome wins by a long shot. Burton and Forum were a bit too artsy for me, but still decent vids. DC was straight out fun. There are some glitchy parts in the vid that are hard to tell if are intentional. There is no doubt Rome won this at all. Was about the only section that featured the snowboarding.
  • Innovative.

Team Shoot Out is by far one of the most innovative films that can certainly change the perception of any snowboarder. Four teams: Rome, Forum, Burton, and DC are on a quest to create the dopest, sickest park and to add on top of that, they're competing so you know they're going all out. All these teams do a great job in creating an exciting atmosphere, but tip of the hat to Rome and Forum who are clearly the strongest two out of the four. Yet, the only downside to this amazing piece of work is the fact that its only 30 minutes long! If anything, it should be longer because I, like many other snowboarders are always looking for the newest and dopest tricks and parks.

Wow they just premiered this last week and it's already on itunes! i love not having to wait for vids to come out anymore. The Rome vid was definitely sick and the Forum one was cool as well. DC and Burton were both good. Worth checking out for sure.
