Description

In the murky alleyways of New York City, homeless Maxx huddles in his box and dreams of crushing evil villains. But when he bursts into the colorful netherworld of the Outback, the Maxx is a hero, in full purple splendor. His friend Julie, a freelance social worker, thinks the Mix's alternate universe is just an escape from the harsh reality of New York — not realizing that she, too, roams the Outback as the Jungle Queen. Join the Maxx for deliciously demonic adventures in both worlds as he scours streets and jungles in search of the link between his two realities. Will he be able to find the connection before it's too late?

I love this series! It's so out there and the art is one of my favorite styles. The story is all over the place in the best ways the only way it could be better is by it having commentary from the cast!

    The title says it all.

I absolutely loved this series back when it originally aired. Series like this & the HBO Spawn series pretty much make the 90s to be the "best decade" for American hero cartoons. So dark & gritty with amazing ideas & atmosphere. I miss days like these. Check this out for either the first time or get the nostalgia, either way, you won't regret it.

It's rare to find animation this good anymore. I loved every minute of it. The short episode length reminds me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but this has better quality by far. A great find, a great watch, and a must-own for noir-style fans.

I've been waiting for a complete collection of The Maxx For like Ever, and here it is, for less than $20! The Maxx series which had the heavy involvement of Sam Keith and William Messner-Loebs, relied so much on Sam Keith still drawings that I would venture to say this was the prototype of what would eventually be called "Motion Comics" Utterly faithful to the comic (Minus the issue with Pitt; That was Dale Keown's copyright) and ending far too soon.
  • I can't believe this is here

The Maxx is one of my favorite TV cartoon series. I haven't seen this anywhere, and only searched for it because I was trying to show it to some friends that have never heard of it. I love the characters and animation style. So happy I can finally own this series.
  • Ridiculously expensive!

12 minute episodes for almost $2.00? That's insane.
  • Really nice, but...

I'm really happy that they have this show from the old MTV, but WHERE IS AEON FLUX? They really need to get the old MTV shows that were amazing before MTV officially died.
  • Amazing!

Sam Keith's vision takes you to places that other film can't. The Maxx is compelling, thought provoking, and aesthetically pleasing. This piece of art is very important to me personally. You won't find a finer and more introspective film. Thanks Sam.
