Love the characters, love the acting, love the scenarios... About as close as one can get inside a character's head as when immersed in a good book. The banter, the silences, the facial expressions, the body language - this is reading between the lines to the nth degree. Kudos to all involved.

I started watching this show because of Lauren Graham and Peter Krause but I quickly fell in love with the whole cast. Yes, the Bravermans can be a little whiney and overly-dramatic and the kid with Asperger's Syndrome is indescribably obnoxious, especially with his repeated tantrums; however, that's how families are and it's what i love about this show. The characters have developed nicely and I really look forward to the third season.

Beware if you're downloading individual episodes: iTunes has episodes 10 and 13 of season 1 mixed up. We downloaded episode 10, which was listed as Lost and Found and were actually viewing the finale instead -- it gave a bunch of stuff away that we hadn't seen yet. So if you've seen episodes 1 - 9, download "Namaste No More" next!
  • NBC finally has a Show I like besides The Office. LOL

I just spent the whole day watching the entire Season after I downloaded iTunes' free Pilot episode. Great cast and writing. I love it! On to season two...

I just happened across this show because I'm a Bonnie Bedelia fan and now I am totally hooked. I have not been enthralled with a tv show like this since ER and the X-Files. The writing is great, the characters are likable, and the acting is the best on tv. I immediatly bought this season and have a pass for season 2. I know it's a great show when I watch the episodes more than once. Here is my only critique about the show . . . SOMEONE is crying in every episode. It's ridiculous and annoying. Aside from that and the character of Hattie being a brat and not enjoyable to watch at all, this is a great show. Take Hattie out and it's damn near perfect.

My daughter is 15, and autistic. I wonder when a tv show has a autistic child, it doesn't seem like they are autistic. Almost like a walk in the park. My daughter is very repetitive has major tantrums etc. I know all autistic children are different, but I have never seen anything like her on tv . I just think Hollywood needs to dig deeper, Temple Grandin was a pretty good view on autism .

I can only agree to what most of you are saying: great show; I love Lauren Graham! unfortunately, the show is not in the German TV program (yet?), so that I have to buy the episodes on iTunes, but it's definitely worth it!!!

One of the best new series on TV. Something the entire family can relate to. As a mother so many of the situations play out like real life. Sometimes slightly exaggerted. Once I watched one episode I was hooked and had to see them all. You will not regret buying this series. Lauren Graham is exceptional as always. So nice to have her back on a TV show. The new season has just started so don't miss out.
