I love the series and like how this shows new age mining and the importance of safety I am an underground coal miner from indiana and I am very proud of this these men show how we risk our lives and how we push harder and harder great job and happy mining to all coal miners

Andy and Wildman are awesome, I love watching these guys cut into that mine.

Best tv show ever

Great tv series and it reminds me of gold rush Alaska - same concept except they mined for gold...

A great show from the same producer as deadliest catch and ice road truckers. What is captivating is two fold - the story of these miners AND the two guys who invested their life savings to make the mine profitable. Likeable personalities, riveting story line, unpredictable turns and twists make this one of tv's BEST! Great stuff, Spike TV!

Coal, what a show! I am from WV in a big time coal producing county and these guys are a great example of what its like to work as a coal miner......the backbone of us west virginians is the coal and our harworking self-sacrificing miners who put their life on the line everytime they go underground......addictive show!!

Can't wait for episode 3 to air tonight. This show is great. It really shows how WV has good hard working people trying to make a better life for their families. It's very educational and entertaining. Go WV miners!

Just finished watching the first episode and bought the second as this show is much better than the title lead me to believe. I thought that with a title like Coal it was going to be boring and just a show about digging for coal period end of story. But it is so much more as unlike most other daily life shows it delves into the inner workings of the mining operation and the impact that everyone has both positive and negative and was way more entertaining that I thought it could be. The other show that I would compare this with would be Deadliest Catch; if you like that show you will like this one. I hope that the remaining episodes prove to be all that the first one was and more.
