Description

Inappropriate remarks, petty behavior, zero productivity - you can change the boss, but you can't change the office. Season 8 of the hit comedy series promises to be the most interesting yet as the beloved cast keeps Dunder Mifflin moving in a world (and office building) without Michael Scott. Office politics mix with old friendships and new rivalries as James Spader joins the cast as Sabre CEO Robert California. But everyone is still wondering the same thing: who is going to be the new manager? Nobody knows, but with the likes of Dwight, Jim, Darryl, Andy and a whole slew of surprise contenders involved, this power struggle promises to be NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

Congrats Michael Scott! You got a girlfriend and never have to see Toby Flenderson! Also, Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly are still having a good life together! Yay!

I couldn't have been more sad when Michael Scott left. I thought the show was over. But I was wrong -- most of the episodes this season were incredibly well written, even more so than some of the Michael Scott seasons **cou SEASON SIX gh**. Excellent writers + actors. Maybe they should have tried for a post MS spinoff show starting with this season? It does seem like a different (great) show...

The office has been declining for some time now. In the more recent episodes jokes are non-existent and so is humor and all the original characters I used to love PLEASE don't watch too much much of season 8 or 9 they are horrible and will make your opinion of the office change completely. Save your eyes and watch scrubs or a good tv show
  • What happened?

This was honestly terrible and was no where near close to the old office episodes, and its unbelievable that some people give this 5 stars those people have no clue what their saying and clearly have never seen the past episodes, which doesn't make sense, because anyone can see what a tragedy this turned out to be. i also think that Andy was a good addition to the show but cant be manager, and Arron was and still is the worst replacement for Pam her blatant stupidity is unrealistic and bothersome.
  • Still Great!

Robert California is one of the coolest new characters. He's so weird and disturbing. The simple fact that he is those things makes it funny to see how the other characters react to him. He really doesn't fit at all and that's what makes him so funny. I agree, though, that Nellie is annoying and she hogs the screen way too much with her constant rambling. No matter what, The Office, in my opinion, still hasn't lost its luster.

When I heard Steve Carrell was leaving I was like, "how is the office going to stay on? They maybe have one more crappy season left without him, but he has been the backbone of this show since '05. This is his show." I watched the first two episodes of season eight with a prejudiced attitude. Then I gave up. Over the summer I started to watch all the episodes that I had missed the previous year and I discovered that they didn't need Steve Carrell to keep it going. You will find that it wasn't just micheals personality that made the office go round, but that it was jims pranks, Dwights insane ideas, andys singing, and all the other amazing personalitys. When u only take one of those away, you still have a heck of a good show. Now season nine is on and I am psyched to see what happens, putting aside the fact that we lost two more crucial people (Kelly and Ryan). But let me just say, I expect there to be three weddings in this final season to leave me satisfied. Angela and Dwight, Andy and Erin, and darryll and Val. I am going to miss it when it's gone. But the legacy will hopefully live on with The Farm, Dwights new show starting mid season about schrute farms. Fingers crossed!
