Sharp Departure from Previous Seasons

I bought the first episode of this season only to find that it feels and looks very different from the previous seasons. The jokes are less entertaining as well. Certainly not the Californication that I enjoyed so much the first four seasons.

If all I had to do was put on a black tee to be as cool as Hank my closet would be full of them! Oh wait! My closet is full of them, but it just ain't happening! Just keep the show going! Too fun to stop!

I have to agree with some other posts, this season is by far the weakest of the 5 (haven't seen 6). I am a huge fan of this show and waited a year to see it. I was disappointed; there seemed to be too many changes, sets, were all changed, no more apartment, no Runkle's house, no Agency. Instead new houses for all and many characters moving over from last season, Stu Biggs, Richard Bates etc. Also many new people which for the most part I didn't like. Storyline was weak, the jokes were pretty thin on the ground, the writing was just not epic like the seasons that came before. I really hope the new season is trying to get bac to what makes this show great.

This show is always hard to stop watching and it held up again this season. Can Hank get a break though? That ending was arbitrary, random and seemed simply another way to mess with Hank just when it looked like he might be happy...
Better in X-Files!
