This is one of the best shows on TV and just gets better and better. But I purchased the FULL season pass - and yet the Christmas special for season 2 is not available on iTunes - and it should be - HAVING BEEN PAID FOR AND BEING AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY-LINE.

This show is a jewel. The writing is excellent, the characters so wonderful, and the portrayal of post war London is compelling. One very quickly becomes part of the "family" at the convent, laughing and crying together with the nuns, the midwives and their friends and patients. I am sorry to reach the end of each show.

My wife was a district midwife in south London in the sixties. This series takes me back to the time I've driven her to some of her home deliveries and home visits. So authentic and so well made. Thanks for this great series.

I just devoured every episode I could in two days. Call the Midwife is masterfully written. Beautifully acted and directed. When I first heard what it was about, I couldn't image that it would work. Then I watched the first episode and was hooked. This just proves that there needs to be more shows for women. My husband enjoyed it as well but I LOVE this show.

My father grew up in the East End and my mother was a nurse at The London Hospital when he was a patient. As a registered nurse myself and a student midwife in England in the 1960s, I can relate to so many things in the show. It is very authentic and I cannot say enough good things about it!
