  • Well...

First, I’m giving this a 5 Star rating due to the fact that TRUE BLOOD is it’s own series away from the books and I’m respecting the route the creators and writers took the show…HOWEVER, with that said, Season 7 was one of the lowest seasons while also being at the top. The success of the first 4 seasons pushed the show down the vampire politic route for season 5, and while season 5 got a bit boring due to the politics of the vampire agenda, it usher the show down the Billith route. Would I have ever touched that idea? Maybe, but NEVER would I have thrown the Billith train down the road for a full season, especially since the HBO drama is short-lived 10-12 episodes a season anyhow. Moving past Billith and going into the Warlow topic of season 6, I understand why the show took the season 7 turns that it did. With a small reference to DEAD IN THE FAMILY (Sookie Book 10) the Hep-V disease ravished the entire town of Bon Temps with a chaotic rage. And while Sookie tries to stay alive along with the rest of her small-town friends, a few familiar faces lose their way and unexpected turns take its course till the very end. I was satisfied with the end, especially now that I heard the writer’s intentions on the last scene (for those who’ve seen the season might know of a certain jump in time I’m talking about). But the one thing I wish would have stayed with us the rest of the way was Alan Ball. Somehow he managed to take the elements of the books and manipulate them into a well-flourished storyline to keep each character in the show with a reason. With his departure of season 5 I feel like TRUE BLOOD lost it’s touch, and for that I’m a bit upset, but I will forever be a fan of this show. If you’ve lasted with us till season 5, true fans will have to stay true to the end and enjoy this final season, no matter how you get your hands on it.

It was so hard for me to stop watching after already having invested six seasons. They were good seasons as well but as you got closer to 7, cracks began show and in this final season everything gave way. It had its moments but the finale really left a rotten taste in my mouth. On a side note the assisted suicide in the last episode was really poorly timed around the time of Robin Williams death. I honestly feel the writers should have stayed away from such a subject regardless, but given the unfortunate timing it really blew up in their face.
  • Not A Worthy Series Finale

I was a huge fan of the series but was so incredibly dissapointed with the final season. With such talented actors and 6 prior years to build upon, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this.

Season 7 was the worst. Don't waste your money. Just watch the Eric only scenes on YouTube. They're the only good parts of S7.

This season was such a disappointment but they had so many bad story lines to close out 10 episodes just wasn't enough to clean up for an awesome finish. The last few minutes was the best & worst of the season with Eric and Pam being part of the Best!!! I wish they had cut out all the going back in time scenes and I still do not understand at all the whole Tara and the gun bit. Can someone explain the point of any of that? The wedding was unimpressive. Etc. Just a snooze this season. I was hoping Sookie would go out with a bang! Or a fang??? Rewatch seasons 1 - 3.
  • Why Cant This be Done with Game of Thrones?

If getting the season up before the blu-ray is important, then why can't this also be done with GOT. First Veep now this.

I have been a devout fan of the entire series for the past six years. However, this season was terrible. Members of the original cast are killed with off-screen deaths and your favorites will probably not last this season. Also, the writing for Season 7 was not up to par with that of the other seasons and I felt that it was a real turn off for me. The series finale aired yesterday and while I liked some parts of it, the ending really annoyed me (you will know what I mean) and the death of (SPOILER) was really unexpected. I honestly did not think that they would go through with it. There is no way that there will ever be a True Blood movie based on the events in the series finale. As a whole, True Blood will aways be one of my favorites shows ever because for me seasons 1-6 were amazing. This season unfortunately was not.
