Poorly acted, written, directed and produced. The concept and quality reminds me of a "B" rated 1960 sic-fi spoof. This was a true waste of money...and time.
  • One of the best SciFi Westerns ever

This show had great acting, plot, and effects. I wish Syfy had continued the series. Season 3's finale left lots of plots and story lines for Season 4 which was never made. I'm not sure why SyFy cancelled it; some people are self destructive by nature and it affects their decision making. Syfy was/is trying to channel Dumb&Dumber I guess. Syfy's decisions on what to keep, and what to cancel deserve their own half hour show on the Comedy Channel. The Space channel in Canada takes more risks and is a MUCH better Science Fiction channel. Look for shows from them. They made some really interesting ones.

I loved this show but when only white people are good and all the black actors have to play horrible alien beasts I can no longer watch.

I rarely write reviews but I thought the cast/writers just did an outstanding job yet again. I’ve have seen all/watched all the seasons and always love how they seem to keep things interesting.
  • Too good not to watch.

Defiance is one of those shows that slowly gets under your skin... your pick at it and your pick at it until finally you're satisfied but then you find you're not satisfied and you pick at it some more. Each story arch is rich and deep with characters you either love or hate. Great action, special effects, heroes, villains, created cultures and languages all combined to stitch a very epic series that is always to short in my opinion. I travel a lot and am on able to watch most television shows when they air. Unfortunately this also leads to the demise of many shows because lack of viewership on air dates reduces commercial revenue. Season three was fantastic I'm hoping for a season four.

  • Bad character continuity

I really want to like this series being that it's one of the few science fiction shows on tv. But within the plot development and storyline the character continuity is way-off. You can throw all the money you want at a show but if the character continuity is lacking there's no real human interest.

This show has some amazing actors and actresses, interesting plot, and a really fun space western theme.

This show had an initial interesting concept, but then, like Terra Nova, devolved into an endless web of lies and backstabbing. Every character has lied to or backstabbed every other character more than once, plus they all takes turns throwing a fight, getting caught, and rescuing each other. Is this all TV has to offer these days??
