If you are so uptight and "dont get it" go watch La La Land. This movie is for people who contemplate deeply and American Honey is art imitating life. This movie is STELLAR. Some of the blasphemous statements were offensive but theres always a mute button. The loud af trap music is just a reflection of how trashy our youth is nowadays. Yet I think anyone would be envious of how freely they live. Loved the last three songs though. So excited to actually see The King Elvis's actual granddaughter on screen and Shia Labeouf has always been my favorite. Glad to see him in his element. All performances were SUPERB. American Honey is genius!

I didn't experience it as too long at all, really. For all the hardship throughout, it was a really soothing piece to watch. (The little girl in the Iron Maiden shirt is everything.) Loved seeing Arielle Holmes. Such a talented soul. The soundtrack is so good, too.

Shia is an ever changing wardrobe, the film relies upon his craft which is quite admirable. Life is no easy task especially in this day and age. A broken mirror from a head butt, lined with mistakes. A realization of the effects of musical Influence from both extremes. A struggle between happiness and freedom a film that proposes the question. Can the two coexist or are they the same completely. Again unto Genesis.

  • Three Hours of Random Scenes

I read a lot of great things about this movie and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I did not agree with any of the great things said about this movie. There is no plot or story. It is 3 hours of random scenes of teens selling door to door magazines. There is no explanation to anything going on other than they need to make money. At one point the main character steps in some sort of pool of blood on the side of the road. No idea why or what that was about. The only thing that could maybe even be considered a "plot" is the weird jealously driven obsession between the two main characters. If you like indie films that piece together random stuff with no story line and "just end", then this movie is for you. Otherwise, keep searching.

Horribly bad... No point, no purpose, no plot, just one dull, boring, pointless scene after another. Add in the shaky camera nonsense that most people complain about, yet still seems to rear its ugly head now and then, ended up being a total waste of time.

A raw look into an aspect of American culture, it's authentic & sincere, I found it captivating; inspiring.
