I love this movie! Not for children or tweens but maybe older high school kids! Very good and amazing brain twister and a little gross nudity and other stuff but I like weird so 5 πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»β€οΈβ€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

The people giving this movie one star are the reason I never put to much stock in anyone's reviews. (Ironic I know since I'm writting a review) However, if you're like me and curiousity is going to make you watch this no matter what, I highly doubt you'll be dissapointed. I reccommend it for the story, the acting, the asthetic, and any other reason you would go to see a creepy unsettling thriller. I don't understand what's not to love.

I gambled on this one and lost. I love mysteries, thrillers, a good horror, etc. I don't require jump scares, gore, a break-neck pace, or explosions. I understand and appreciate the value of mood and atmosphere. Slow-moving is not necessarily a bad thing. But dull is. And that is what this movie is: dull, almost two and a half hours of it.

20th Century Fox daringly lays out director Verbinski's pubescent attack on Goth's character. Dismay for the faint of heart, concering adolescence. DeHann and Isaacs put forth memorable performances to raise the shock value of this thriller. Keep an open mind and a gritty eye. Some may need a brief pause before resuming to the climax, literally.
  • Starts out well, then disintigrates.

The plot just gets more and more preposterous.

I rented this and I am sorry that I didn't just buy it. It had a completely different story than "Pan's Labyrinth" but it had that sort of "dream-like vibe" to it. The story is interesting, the sets are beautiful, and the acting is superb. I would say this is a Horror/Mystery but it is hard to classify.
