An Adorkable Film

This movie was as heartwarming and disjointedly loveable as the main character. This filmed seemed like I was peering in on moments in everyday life, which was refreshing. Conversations and situations seemed legit and felt real. Different points that were talked about were done so very honestly.
Am I being vague? A little. But that’s because I want you to experience it knowing nothing about it except what you’ve possibly seen in the trailer. I watched this in the Laemmle Theatre in Glendale and will be buying this shortly.

Maybe I love this movie because I am a woman.
Maybe I can relate because I am a korean American.
Or maybe it resonates because we have all been there. Or least wish we were this brave.
Underneath the comedy of the storyline which makes you laugh out loud: or cringe because it is so real and embarrassing and funny. there are those moments that makes me think of the hours in between. The space where we all feel vulnerable, lonely, and sad. Those moments we want to look away and never show it on social media.
Vivian bang’s character is like an energizer bunny. She falls down (face down at times) breaks down, but she always gets back up.
Her vulnerability and strength is so touching i think it is almost unfair to call this movie a simple comedy.

I saw the movie, and I can't stop thinking about it, and I want to watch it over and over, again. It is witty, smart, and it touched my heart. I feel close to the main characters. their struggle, their desire, is ours. Wonderful movie, sincere, and powerful.
