The intimate and loving story of HOPE GAP charts the life of Grace (Annette Bening) and her husband Edward (Bill Nighy)—a couple married for 29 years who live in an idyllic British seaside town. Grace’s life begins to unravel when Edward suddenly announces he plans to leave Grace for another woman during a weekend visit with their son Jamie (Josh O’Connor).
